Why this role matters
As the Senior Officer, Performance and Insights Reporting, you will help drive evidence-informed decision-making across the Institute for Health Transformation (IHT) and the Western Victorian Primary Health Network (WVPHN). By transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights, you will support organisational performance, strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives that contribute to better health outcomes for communities across Western Victoria.
Collaborating with stakeholders across research, health and operational settings, you will develop meaningful reporting, monitor key performance measures and identify emerging trends and opportunities. Your ability to communicate insights effectively will support leaders to make informed decisions, evaluate progress against strategic objectives and respond to evolving priorities.
This role offers the opportunity to influence how evidence is used to guide action, strengthen organisational capability and enhance the impact of health initiatives. Through your expertise in reporting, analysis and stakeholder engagement, you will contribute to a culture that values data-driven insights, accountability and continuous improvement.
As a Senior Officer, Performance and Insights Reporting you will:
- Deliver performance reporting, analytics and insights that support evidence-based decision-making and strategic priorities.
- Analyse and interpret complex data to identify trends, measure outcomes and inform organisational performance.
- Develop and enhance reporting frameworks, dashboards and performance measures that drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate findings into meaningful, actionable insights.
- Prepare high-quality reports and presentations that support governance, planning and decision-making across the Western Victorian Primary Health Network and the Institute for Health Transformation.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Demonstrated experience in performance reporting, analytics, business intelligence or related disciplines, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience interpreting data, identifying trends and informing evidence-based decision-making.
- Experience developing reports, dashboards, performance measures and reporting frameworks that support organisational objectives and continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and communicate insights clearly through high-quality reports, briefings and presentations.
- An understanding of healthcare, public health, research, evaluation or related sectors, with an appreciation for how data and insights can inform strategy, performance and outcomes.
