About the role:

We are seeking a highly organised and relationship-focused Senior Officer, Work Integrated Learning to coordinate, administer and continuously improve Work Integrated Learning (WIL) programs within the Faculty of Business and Law. Working closely with students, academic staff, industry partners and external stakeholders, you will play a key role in enhancing student employability outcomes through the development, promotion and coordination of industry engagement opportunities, internships and experiential learning activities. You will also contribute to strengthening industry partnerships and delivering initiatives that connect students with meaningful career-related experiences during and after their studies.

As a Senior Officer, Work Integrated Learning, you will:

  • Coordinate and administer Faculty WIL programs, ensuring high-quality service delivery and continuous improvement of processes and practices.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with industry, community and government organisations to support internships, placements and other WIL opportunities for students.
  • Provide advice and support to current and prospective students regarding WIL opportunities and pathways.
  • Plan and deliver events, initiatives and promotional activities that increase student engagement with WIL programs and strengthen industry partnerships.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Faculty industry engagement strategies, international mobility programs and experiential learning opportunities.

To be successful, you will:

  • A tertiary degree with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with students and external stakeholders, clients or industry partners within business, government or community sectors.
  • Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence, build relationships and deliver exceptional stakeholder service.
  • Experience working within a complex administrative environment, preferably within the higher education or vocational education sector.
