As a Manager, Research Grants, you will:

  • Maintain expert knowledge of global funding schemes, monitor sector trends and act as the University’s key liaison with international funding bodies with a key focus on Horizon Europe schemes and US Grants

  • Build trusted long‑term partnerships, provide expert research‑income advice and develop strategies that strengthen the University’s funding position internationally

  • Lead and oversee high‑quality end-to end international grant submissions, ensuring eligibility, compliance and strong grantsmanship to improve success rates

  • Navigate complex stakeholder environments, manage resistance to change and resolve issues with diplomacy and strategic judgement

  • Empower and develop team members through tailored coaching, clear behavioural expectations and values‑driven leadership, ensuring strong governance, accurate research‑income data, effective risk management and a culture of service excellence.
 

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and management expertise; or
  • Extensive experience and management expertise; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
