About the role

As an Institute Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the leadership, operations and profile of the Deakin Institute. This is a dynamic position suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, innovative environment and enjoys working collaboratively across diverse teams.

As an Institute Officer, you will:

  • Deliver high‑quality research administration support across the Institute
  • Coordinate the development, curation and dissemination of Institute-related content strengthen visibility and engagement internally and externally.
  • Provide technical and editorial support for podcast production, including pre‑production planning, content preparation, audio editing, quality assurance and post‑production coordination.
  • Collaborate with Deakin, Faculty and Institute stakeholders to support research operations across the Deakin Institutes for Health.
  • Design and implement effective data and records and knowledge management systems ensuring information is accurate, accessible and aligned with organisational requirements..    

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Extensive research administration experience preferably within a tertiary institution, research organisation or health sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a broad suite of enterprise systems, exercising sound judgement and initiative to manage financial, people, research and governance processes
  • High-level digital literacy across multiple platforms, including the Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Zoom, Sharepoint, Deakin endorsed AI software and Atlassian software.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to work proactively in an agile, collaborative and dynamic environment.
