About the role:

This role supports and delivers projects aimed at replacing, upgrading, and modernising the University’s infrastructure environment. The Officer contributes to a diverse portfolio of infrastructure renewal initiatives that underpin the University’s teaching and learning objectives. The position is accountable for ensuring services are delivered efficiently, effectively, and within established project and program timelines.

As an Infrastructure Replacement Program Officer, you will:

  • Brief consultants and contractors for projects and coordinate designs, specifications and documentation for infrastructure replacement projects.
  • Engage and liaise with internal stakeholders, external consultants and external contractors.
  • Clarify the scope and develop innovative built environment solutions, achieving accurate cost control and timely delivery.
  • Clarify stakeholder and team expectations and respond promptly to requests and queries to ensure needs are met to agreed processes, procedures, standards and timelines.
  • Apply and utilise range of adopted workflow processes, policies and systems to deliver project outcomes and support associated organisational requirements.

 

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Completion of a Degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or
  • Completion of an Associate Diploma and at least two years subsequent relevant work experience; or
  • Completion of a Post-Trades Certificate or Advanced Certificate and extensive relevant experience as a Technician; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  •  Experience in project planning and support of defined and scoped projects, project reporting, administration and related activities in a large organisation with complex administrative structures, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience in supporting the procurement and appointing of a range of industry consultants, suppliers and contractors.
