The Faculty of Health is dedicated to being at the forefront of teaching, learning, creativity, social development, and ground-breaking research and discovery. We work closely with industry partners and government bodies to translate discoveries into real-word impact. This role will specifically be working within the School of Psychology.
About the role:
The Senior Lecturer, Education-focused Academic will work as part of the Collaborative Practice Curriculum team to support interprofessional learning across the Faculty of Health. They will lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of interprofessional learning experiences within the Collaborative Practice Curriculum, and support unit and course teaching teams across UG and PG programs to embed and deliver interprofessional learning in their curricula. The position will foster innovation in learning and teaching by developing and leading collaborations that create, implement, and share evidence-informed approaches to interprofessional education.
As a Senior Lecturer, Education-focused, you will:
- Lead unit and course teaching teams and work collaboratively with other teaching teams in the faculty to develop effective unit/courses curricula and learning materials.
- Lead the development and/or adoption of innovative curriculum design within a course(s) and deliver learner-centric, research-informed teaching practices across different levels / modes of delivery.
- Contributing to research and publication in learning and teaching, including testing the effectiveness of innovations designed to improve student and graduate outcomes including graduate employment.
- Contribute to the development of community engagement activities at university level and lead the implementation of the University’s community engagement agenda and activities.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- PhD in a relevant discipline and/or advanced qualifications and experience in the relevant discipline area.
- Evidence of leadership in scholarly learning and teaching in undergraduate and/or post graduate programs, including innovative curriculum design and education development.
- Demonstrated capacity and passion for leadership of teaching, learning and administration.
- Ability to deliver effective teaching practices to improve student success and engagement.
