As a Senior Officer, Research Tenders, you will:

  • Plan and oversee the application, submission, central administration and management of competitive tenders and grants awards.
  • Collaborate and support Faculties/Institutes and research teams to develop competitive tender or grant application by providing guidance on proposal writing, formatting and adherence to funding agency requirements.
  • Review and provide feedback on tender and grant proposals to ensure clarity, accuracy and compliance with grant award guidelines.
  • Assist in the administration of awarded tenders and grants, including progress updates and reporting.
  • Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the university's tenders and grant application and administration processes by staying up to dateon trends and best practices in research funding, tender and grant writing, and tender and grant management.

 

                                                                                                                                                                                      

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a busy, complex, administrative environment as part of a hardworking and collaborative team.
  • Experience interpreting policies, guidelines and procedures, reviewing and editing documentation against eligibility requirements and providing clear, concise advice or constructive feedback to clients.
  • Experience in the use of research or other comparable databases and a high level of competence in using standard office computing applications.
