About the role:

The Work Integrated Learning Manager leads the strategic and operational delivery of work integrated learning (WIL) programs in the Faculty of Arts and Education, aiming to enhance graduate employability. The role involves driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing a high-performing team and engaging effectively with students, industry, and academic stakeholders, while leading change and fostering a collaborative, innovative culture.

 As a Work Integrated Learning Manager, you will:

  • Lead a multi-campus WIL team, driving continuous improvement and service excellence while managing peak workloads.
  • Demonstrate agile, dynamic leadership that develops others and balances priorities with team wellbeing.
  • Grow student engagement in WIL and internship opportunities, with a view to providing high quality and impactful experiences.
  • Drive strategic industry engagement initiatives and foster key stakeholder relationships to develop sustainable placement opportunities.
  • Oversee the implementation and enhancement of WIL processes, systems and digital platforms to improve operational efficiency and stakeholder experience.

 

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and management expertise; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Experience working collaboratively and effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders and/or clients from business, government or community sectors and students.
  • Experience in business development and client relations.
  • Experience working within an organisation with complex administrative structures, policies and procedures, preferably within the higher education sector.
  • Experience in the field of student advising or career education.
  • Knowledge of the graduate employment landscape.
  • Experience negotiating new stakeholder agreements.
