About the role:
The Software Engineer supports the design, development, and ongoing improvement of digital solutions that support the University’s strategic and operational needs. Operating within agile and DevOps-enabled delivery environments, the role applies sound engineering practices to build, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications and services.
As a Software Engineer, you will:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions that meet user and business needs.
- Resolve or assist in the resolution of technical issues across platforms, applications, and integrations.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and stakeholders to implement solutions aligned to technical and functional requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and refinement of team processes, tools, and delivery practices. Seek opportunities to enhance efficiencies, innovation, service improvements and operational excellence.
- Follow established design patterns and standards to ensure maintainability, scalability, and security.
What you will bring:
- Salesforce development experience that you can use to hit the ground running
- A Degree with substantial subsequent relevant experience; or
- Extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Proven programming experience across a range of applications, platforms, and technologies.
- Practical experience applying the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) in enterprise environments, including contributing to software development, configuration, and enhancement within team-based settings.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and agile delivery and DevOps environments.
