About the role
The Associate Director, Network & AV is recognised as a principal specialist in networks and AV and leads and motivates a team of professionals to collaborate and deliver outstanding advice and services to our customers.
The role leads the enhancement of practices and methodology in networks and AV and recommends solutions to more complex university-wide issues in the design, implementation, management, and support of the university’s networking infrastructure and audio-visual technologies.
As the Associate Director, Network & AV you will:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of skilled professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide guidance and support to team members in delivering strategic initiatives, ensuring their growth and development.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with Deakin’s goals and future needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify formulate and execute long-term strategies for the university’s networking and AV technologies. Develop technology roadmaps for network and AV infrastructure and ensure that network and AV systems are aligned with the university's overall strategic objectives.
- Partner with key stakeholders and oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of robust, secure, and high-performing network systems. Ensure reliable network connectivity across all university campuses and buildings and implement and manage network security protocols.
- Collaborate closely with various stakeholders and across the University to understand their network and AV needs and ensure network infrastructure and AV technologies support university requirements.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Extensive experience conceptualising, developing and implementing contemporary network and AV solutions, strategies and services to achieve a large organisation’s objectives.
- A sound knowledge and understanding of contemporary relevant Network and AV practices.
- Demonstrated capacity to build and maintain strong and productive relationships with internal and external partners and customers.
- Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative work teams and proven capability to achieve quality customer service to clients and quality improvement to a wide range of practices and services.
