About the role:
The Senior Officer, Programs is responsible for planning, implementing and coordinating Future Students programs, including Deakin’s VCE extension studies program (Deakin Accelerate). This role supports key internal and external stakeholders, including secondary schools, prospective students and parents while serving as the primary contact for Deakin Accelerate students.
Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of the program, including planning, execution marketing and representing Deakin at events, ensuring excellent customer service and accurate program and course information.
As a Senior Officer, Programs, you will:
- Plan and oversee all aspects of the end-to-end project to deliver sustainable outcomes, value within constraints of time, cost and quality
- Develop and implement practical, accessible solutions based on stakeholder needs
- Prioritise work and critical activities, monitor progress, identify obstacles, and ensure a high level of accuracy and precision
- Seek feedback from clients, respond transparently and identify opportunities for improvements
- Provide ethical advice to clients that address underlying issues, promoting value-adding insights and recommendations
- Establish and demonstrate a high level of learning, drive and commitment
- Communicate with confidence using examples and effective techniques to enhance understanding and gain support
To be successful, you’ll have:
- A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
- Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields: or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in marketing, communications,
PR.
- Extensive experience in project management, marketing, communications or related areas
- Superior interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including confidently addressing both large and small audiences.
- Experience executing multiple activities and initiatives simultaneously within tight deadlines, with excellent attention to detail in a busy and complex environment.
- Experience interacting, influencing and negotiating with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve objectives.
