Deakin University, in collaboration with Barwon Health, is proud to be part of the Health Education & Research Building (HERB), a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to advancing biomedical and clinical research. HERB hosts cutting-edge research spaces that foster collaboration between academia and healthcare professionals, driving innovations in healthcare and treatment. As part of this dynamic environment, the SYNDICAT program plays a pivotal role in developing innovative clinical treatments for schizophrenia, contributing to life-changing research and discoveries.
As a Senior Project Officer you will:
- Plan and oversee day-to-day logistics and administrative processes for the SYNDICAT project, including organising meetings and producing agendas, minutes, and documents.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide financial and compliance reports to NHMRC and other bodies, ensuring adherence to funding policies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic, research, and financial partners, fostering mutually beneficial collaborations.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination with the investigator team, researchers, and internal and external stakeholders to support project success.
- Support project budget management, including development, monitoring, and expenditure tracking, ensuring alignment with funding rules and project needs.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in technical/administrative fields with strong project management expertise.
- High-level administrative skills, including budget management, event coordination, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to manage projects, deliver within timelines, and maintain budgets.
- Strong written, interpersonal, and presentation skills with a track record of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to adapt to changing priorities, with experience in website content management.
