As a Professional Placement Officer, you will:

  • Establish and coordinate the administrative processes of clinical placements for students within the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
  • Maintain and support relationships with health care partners to ensure student placements are facilitated, managed and maintained in a timely and efficient manner to the satisfaction of the external partners and accrediting bodies, and are in accordance with university and course regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the senior administrative team and undertake projects as required such as promulgating new processes, review, develop and implement new systems for the effective administration of the school’s clinical placement program.
  • Maintain a thorough and up to date knowledge of issues affecting placements in the nursing and midwifery sectors and the relevant health professions, particularly as they affect placements of nursing and midwifery students.
  • Prioritise work and critical activities, evaluate progress, recognise barriers to achieving outcomes and find effective ways to deal with them.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel is required.
