As the Senior Project Coordinator, Research Education and Development, you will:
- Lead and manage all facets of project management including the design, planning, development and implementation of specific projects to improve engagement, experience, effectiveness and efficiency of Deakin’s research training and researcher development programs.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with faculties, institutes and other stakeholders across the university to successfully fulfill the requirements of the role.
- Develop and implement change management strategies and plans that maximise adoption of new policies, procedures and processes. This includes identifying potential risks, managing stakeholder communications, and developing strategies and resources to ensure all parties are well informed and that changes are effectively implemented.
- Deliver training and support staff through transitions, monitoring progress, and adjusting strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
- Identify and investigate opportunities for improvements to processes and support systems within the Researcher Development Academy by conducting data collection and analysis including the coordination of focus groups and surveys to provide direction on research training and researcher development opportunities.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Experience in a graduate research degrees or student services within a large or complex organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to organise and plan, manage change and meet rigid and conflicting demands and deadlines.
- Experience with university governance and policy.
- Knowledge of project methodology, tools practice.
- Knowledge of HDR training and research management procedures.
