About the role
The Officer, Parking and Transport Administration provides administrative and financial support to the Campus Experience team in the delivery of high quality and connected suite of Parking, Fleet and Transport services to Deakin University.
Reporting to the Senior Coordinator Property Services, the Officer, Parking and Transport Administration will work closely with the Property Services team to deliver exceptional customer service to students, staff and the wider Deakin community providing information, services and advice in relation to parking, fleet and transport matters.
As a Officer, Parking and Transport Administration you will:
- Provide efficient and effective administration of parking, fleet and transport operations.
- Undertake vehicle condition audits and assist with motor vehicle acquisition/disposal, maintenance, accident management and the day to day operation of the University’s motor vehicle fleet.
- Support their procurement, budget and finance requirements.
- Assist the Parking and Transport leadership team in the formulation of the annual budget related to the transport and parking services as well as coordinating strategies to reduce costs, produce continuous improvement and the achievement of key performance indicators.
- The position is required to liaise with statutory bodies, industry professionals, like institutions and consultants for the purpose of benchmarking and developing statistical data on fleet vehicle and parking services.
- Maintain a policy and procedure framework that ensures the transport and parking services adhere to all Federal and State statutory and regulatory compliance requirements and conform to University policy and procedure.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Completion of a Degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or
- Completion of an Associate Diploma and at least two years subsequent relevant work experience; or
- Completion of a Post-Trades Certificate or Advanced Certificate and extensive relevant experience as a Technician; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- Experience in administration and related activities in a large organisation with complex administrative structures, policies, and procedures.
- Experience in operating in a high-pressure diverse environment
