Casual Hourly Rate: HEW5  ($52.47 per hour + 11% superannuation)

About the Role: 

 

The Student Adviser a responsible for providing advice, support and administrative services within the Contact Centre that improve the student experience and engage our students to facilitate their success.

 

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Completion of a Degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or
  • Completion of an Associate Diploma and at least two years subsequent relevant work experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant work experience and/or education and training
  • Experience in administration and related activities in a large organisation with complex administrative structures, policies, and procedures.
  • Customer services experience, preferably in a tertiary educational institution
  • Experience in operating in a high-pressure diverse environment, involving face to face, phone, and written issues.
  • Experience providing services and support in a large organisation.


Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Provide information, advice and support to students. This will mainly be over the phone, email and live chat with minimal face to face interactions.
  • Contribute to the implementation of strategies and programs to improve the student experience and contribute to improved ways of working
  • Provide resolution to complex student enquiries
  • Coordinate and implement a range of administrative services to support students
  • Review, evaluate and implement systems, process and practices to improve response times, increase quality, reduce costs and foster a culture of customer service excellence


 

Additional Comments:

  • Can you start shifts at 8.30 am?
  • Can you finish shifts at 7 pm?
  • Can you work full time during peak periods? Specify dates
  • Would you be available to work at least one Saturday per month? The Call Centre is open 10am-2pm
  • Would you be interested in shifts throughout the year?
  • Are you able to work on campus at Burwood in one of our Student Central Hubs when required?
  • Please let me know your citizenship status i.e. Australian citizen/Permanent Resident etc.
  • Do you have any holidays or other commitments, which may affect your availability this year and until the end of March 2025.  


* All new staff must obtain and maintain an Employee Working with Children Check, and are required to provide evidence of an Employee WWCC.

Please note: Staff are required to pay for the cost of their Working with Children Check . You can claim the cost back on tax.

Staff are also required to pay for the cost of renewal of their Working with Children Check.


*Please note hours outside of these peak periods are severely reduced and there is no guarantee of number of hours.
