We're seeking an exceptional Senior Program Manager to lead our data and cloud platform initiatives and drive transformative change across our organization.
Make an impact in Deakin’s Infrastructure & Digital division following an exciting period of change within the University. This position is focused on enhancing the customer experience through integrating physical and digital infrastructure, projects, and services to deliver seamless, impactful solutions tailored to customer needs.
Reporting to the Program Director, Platforms, as our Senior Program Manager you will shape the future of our cloud-based infrastructure, while leading high-performing teams to deliver exceptional results. You'll be the driving force behind critical program initiatives, providing strategic guidance to senior leadership and ensuring our platform evolution stays abreast of industry trends.
As our Senior Program Manager, you will spearhead the development and implementation of contemporary cloud-based solutions (including data and cloud services, networking, hardware, software and other critical infrastructure components), all the while collaborating and co-designing with our customers.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Proven ability to exercise judgment, influence stakeholders at all levels, and adapt to evolving priorities while securing support for strategic initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong and productive relationships across internal and external stakeholders, including executive leaders, technical teams, and customers, ensuring alignment and support for program objectives.
- Highly developed consulting, interpersonal, and communication skills, including the ability to convey complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong understanding of cloud and data platforms (AWS, Azure) in the context of program delivery, ensuring successful adoption, governance, and compliance with enterprise standards.
- Demonstrated flexibility and sound judgement in dynamic environments, able to adapt to shifting priorities while maintaining focus on strategic outcomes.
- Experienced in leading collaborative, cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality services, drive continuous improvement, and enhance stakeholder engagement.
- Expertise in delivering complex, high-impact programs using Agile and Hybrid methodologies, with strong capabilities in budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and program portfolio oversight.
- Committed to optimising stakeholder and customer experiences, ensuring seamless engagement across data, cloud, and digital platforms.
- High-level skills in research, report writing, and presenting insights to guide strategic decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
- Qualifications and experience commensurate with appointment at level.
