As an Alumni Engagement Coordinator, you will: 

  • Lead Alumni Outreach Initiatives and Drive Outcomes: Develop and execute impactful outreach programs, and with confidence foster strong connections with alumni and ensuring the university remains a significant presence in their lives.   

  • Influence Tailored Engagement Strategies: Collaborate with Alumni Engagement Leadership to operationalise customised engagement plans that address the unique needs of different faculties and institutions, supporting the university's strategic goals.  You will influence and communicate with confidence and hold stakeholder audiences captively. 

  • Coordinate Strategic Alumni Programming: Organise and oversee diverse engagement activities, including digital communications and events, focusing on leading sustainable and high-return interactions with alumni. 

  • Analyse and Report on Program Performance: Conduct thorough analysis of alumni engagement programs, providing authoritative advice and reports to enhance performance and achieve key targets. 

  • Provide Expert Advice and Project Management: Offer professional insights to stakeholders, manage complex projects, and ensure best practices are upheld throughout the planning, execution, and evaluation of alumni-related initiatives. 

In a typical day, you will:   

Simplify Complex Information: Identify core issues, draw accurate conclusions, and present logical arguments in concise terms. 

Be Innovative and Analytical: Use diverse resources and innovation principles to improve current processes and practices. 

Commit to Learning and responding to Feedback: Demonstrate high energy and commitment, welcome feedback, and use it for continuous improvement. 

Prioritise and Evaluate: Prioritise tasks, evaluate progress, and create inclusive, creative solutions to challenge existing processes. 

Implement and Support Change: Identify the need for change, communicate reasons, implement changes, and overcome obstacles while supporting team wellbeing and empowerment. 

 To be successful, you’ll have:  

  • A relevant degree or equivalent knowledge, with a minimum of five years' experience in an engagement or similar role. 

  • Proven track record in coordinating strategic engagement programs and projects, with strong stakeholder management skills. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with various stakeholders. 

  • Experience in delivering high-quality events and communications within an organizational strategic framework. 

  • Demonstrated ability to influence, garner support, and commitment for various projects.
