Join Deakin’s Marketing and Recruitment Division as a Marketing Manager, partnering with either the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment (SEBE) or the Faculty of Business and Law. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a talented team and shape the marketing strategy for two of Deakin’s most influential and future-focused faculties.

In this high-impact leadership role, you'll drive innovative, integrated marketing and communications campaigns that build product reputation, engage diverse audiences and support ambitious student recruitment goals. No two days are the same. From collaborating with senior faculty leaders and influencing strategic decision-making, to leading impactful campaigns and identifying new growth opportunities, you'll be at the forefront of delivering meaningful results.

As a Marketing Manager you will:

  • Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of integrated marketing strategies to support student recruitment and faculty growth
  • Provide strategic advice to the Faculty Executive and key stakeholders, translating University priorities into Faculty-specific marketing initiatives
  • Lead and develop a high-performing marketing team, ensuring effective planning, delivery and continuous improvement
  • Oversee marketing campaigns, communications and student recruitment activities, using data and insights to inform decisions and optimise performance
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships while managing resources and budgets to deliver outcomes in a complex environment  

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and training
  • Proven experience leading functions, programs or significant bodies of work, including managing resources and delivering outcomes in complex environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and inform decision-making
  • Excellent communication and relationship management capability, including the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing marketing and communications plans, and producing high-quality content across print and digital channels

Note: This role requires travel between campuses and may involve occasional after-hours work to support marketing events scheduled in the evenings and on weekends.
