Casual Hourly Rate: Casual HEW 1 ($40.55 per hour + 12% superannuation)

Employment Type: Casual 

Location: Burwood Campus and as required across our Geelong campuses.

 

About the Role: 

The staff member will provide an excellent and consistent level of customer and hospitality service to all clients (visitors, guests, students and staff). This position is based on a roster system and flexibility of hours is required to work mornings, days, evenings and/or weekends at the Burwood Campus and as required across our Geelong campuses.

 

To Be Successful, you'll have:

  • Excellent hospitality skills and previous experience in hospitality settings.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to produce clear and accurate communications that are appropriate for their intended audience.
  • Proven capability to work positively and effectively as part of a collaborative work team, accommodate and thrive in diverse working styles, and work independently when necessary.
  • Demonstrate the ability to exercise sound judgment, initiative, diplomacy, tact and discretion when dealing with different members of the public.
  • Provide intuitive customer service that meets the requirements of individual guests and resolve issues as they arise in a timely manner.
  • Ability to use initiative, seek resolutions to concerns to meet customer and business needs.
  • Coffee making experience is preferred.

 

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Effectively work with other team members to deliver front of house and food and beverage services, maintain service standards and processes, ensuring directed tasks are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide a high level of customer service, ensuring guests are greeted professionally with a high standard of presentation, to ensure professional delivery of services.
  • Preparation and maintenance of function and meeting rooms, including set up and pack down of furniture.
  • Stocking of tea and coffee stations and ensuring communal catering areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • Preparation of Barista Coffee as needed
  • Food and beverage service including breakfast, lunch and dinner service and corporate event catering.
  • Conduct payment transactions.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative where appropriate.
