About Gift City
Deakin is the first University in the world to open an international teaching campus in India. The state-of-the-art campus opened in 2024 in the heart of the smart business district, GIFT City (Gujarat International Finance Tec-City). This campus is giving students access to future-ready Deakin postgraduate courses aligned with local employment needs since July 2024. The programs here will directly support Deakin’s aspiration for innovative international education partnerships that provide lasting value for students, partners, and Deakin. With an ‘In India, with India and for India’ approach, the initiative will also provide opportunities for Deakin and the students to work closely with GIFT City and its industry partners.
As a Manager, Training and Placement you will:

To be successful, you’ll have:
- Degree-level qualifications plus substantial management experience in technical or administrative fields (or equivalent combination)
- Demonstrated proven success designing and delivering training, mentoring, and recruitment programs in higher education or student services
- Strong analytical skills and ability to influence stakeholders across complex, independent projects
- Ability to deliver results coordinating or leading complex work and driving outcomes with minimal supervision
- Ability to thrive in university environments where you can apply expertise in placements, training delivery, and student-focused initiatives
