About Gift City

Deakin is the first University in the world to open an international teaching campus in India. The state-of-the-art campus opened in 2024 in the heart of the smart business district, GIFT City (Gujarat International Finance Tec-City). This campus is giving students access to future-ready Deakin postgraduate courses aligned with local employment needs since July 2024. The programs here will directly support Deakin’s aspiration for innovative international education partnerships that provide lasting value for students, partners, and Deakin. With an ‘In India, with India and for India’ approach, the initiative will also provide opportunities for Deakin and the students to work closely with GIFT City and its industry partners.

 

As a Marketing Manager, GIFT City, you will:

  • Drive student recruitment across digital, events, and student recruitment channels using data insights and business drivers to hit enrolment targets and translate complex challenges into clear goals that inspire teams to improve practices
  • Manage workloads, resources, and systems to deliver agreed outcomes, continuously evaluating progress and adapting to changing needs while integrating multiple data sources to spot trends and implement solutions
  • Identify new ways of working that are inclusive, drawing on theory and best practice to enhance recruitment strategies and ensure continuous improvement across your work area
  • Set a positive example grounded in ethics and emotional intelligence, inspiring teams to succeed while recognising performance and fostering a safe, inclusive environment for issue resolution and collaboration
  • Coach team members with clear standards and tailored feedback, celebrating outstanding performance, growing team resilience, and building stakeholder support for change across the organisation

                                                                                                                                       

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Postgraduate qualification or extensive marketing experience with demonstrated management expertise in complex environments
  • Proven experience conceptualising, developing, and executing marketing projects across print, digital, social, and advertising channels
  • Ability to develop and deliver tailored marketing and communications plans to diverse audiences, with demonstrated capacity to measure effectiveness
  • Experience in strategic partnership development and leading collaborative teams to deliver results
  • Proficiency with web-based tools and Microsoft Office, plus knowledge of university context and postgraduate student pathways
