About the role
The Senior Officer, School Administration provides a high level of administrative advice and services to a range of school stakeholders to enable the delivery of school outcomes with the required resources. Support school functions through a range of processing and administrative tasks in line with university procedures as well as ensuring efficient and effective administration. Oversee the recruitment process in the School working closely with the School Manager and relevant central Divisions. Manage the Academic workload allocation system in collaboration with key academic staff and the Planning and Analysis team in Faculty Services.
Reporting to the School Manager, as the Senior Officer, you will:
- Plan and oversee various administrative functions within the school, including but not limited to workload management and recruitment.
- Collaborate closely with members of the school, as well as staff in Faculty Services and central Divisions, to ensure seamless coordination of school functions and the effective implementation of initiatives.
- Support ad hoc projects, events, Advisory Boards, processes (e.g. accreditation reviews) as determined by the Schools Manager.
- Work with team members to facilitate growth and development by giving balanced, constructive feedback.
- Seek feedback from stakeholders regarding their satisfaction and perspective, respond to feedback with openness and transparency and seek to identify ways to better service the customer.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Experience in administration and related activities in a large organisation with complex administrative structures, policies and procedures
- Experience operating in a high-pressure diverse environment, involving face to face, phone and written issue.
