About the role:
The Assistant, Venues is responsible for the provision of high quality and timely administrative, operational, and on-ground support for venue hire bookings, major events, fee for service events, and academic conferencing to create a consistent and memorable client experience.
As an Assistant, Venues, you will:
- Assist in the delivery of effective and efficient services to clients, ensuring that client experiences exceed expectations and compliments the venue.
- Provide general administrative support to the commercial hire and use of venues across various campuses, including but not limited to preparing quotations and coordinating contractor inductions in line with University policies and relevant legislation.
- Ensure a high-level of customer service, adhere to all quality requirements, and participate in reviews of work practices to identify opportunities.
- Engage in process improvement activities and adopt new ideas to promote the venue.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with staff, students, and external clients, suppliers, and contractors at all levels.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Completion of an Associate Diploma level qualifications with relevant work experience or a certificate level qualification with post-certificate relevant work experience; or
- Completion of a post-Trades Certificate or Advanced Certificate and extensive relevant and on the job training; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in event management, hospitality and/or tourism
- Knowledge of the event industry, suppliers, and systems.
