About this role:

The Senior Adviser, Work Integrated Learning plays a key role in managing WIL practices and processes for students, industry, and international partners. The role supports non-clinical placements, internships, compliance, and study tours, while also contributing to student engagement initiatives such as graduate employment activities and career events.

As a Senior Adviser, Work Integrated Learning, you will:

  • Drive innovative programs that boost student participation in work integrated learning and create valuable career experiences.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to expand student placement opportunities.
  • Provide ethical, practical advice to students and partners, delivering solutions that address challenges and add value.
  • Design and implement accessible strategies to support successful placements and positive student outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of placements, internships, and events to ensure smooth delivery and compliance with policy.                                                                                                                                  

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Tertiary qualification with relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and extensive professional expertise.
  • Strong ability to build collaborative and effective relationships with diverse stakeholders across business, government, community, and student groups.
  • Proven experience navigating complex administrative environments, ideally within the higher education sector.
  • Background in student advising, career education, or international education with a focus on supporting student success.
  • Awareness of the graduate employment landscape and emerging trends influencing student career pathways.
