As a Senior Officer, Research Initiatives you will:

  • Play a key role in supporting high-impact major research initiatives, overseeing the application, submission, central administration and management of large-scale grants
  • Collaborate and support Faculties and Institutes and research teams to develop competitive major grant applications by providing strategic guidance on all aspects of an application, including proposal development, costing and compliance
  • Review and provide feedback on major grant proposals to ensure clarity, accuracy and compliance with grant award guidelines.
  • Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the university's major research initiatives processes by staying up to date  on trends and best practices in research funding,proposal development  and grant management.

 

                                                                                                                                                                                      

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a busy, complex, administrative environment as part of a hardworking and collaborative team.
  • Experience interpreting policies, guidelines and procedures, reviewing and editing documentation against eligibility requirements and providing clear, concise advice or constructive feedback to clients.
