The Faculty of Health drives innovation in teaching, learning, research, and social impact. We’re seeking a Senior Lecturer to lead as Course Director for the Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education, leading the unit and course teaching teams in our undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

As a Senior Lecturer, you will:

  • Provide academic leadership in the design, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the Diabetes Education programs.
  • Ensure the curriculum aligns with professional standards, accreditation requirements, and emerging evidence in diabetes care and education.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with health services, professional bodies, and stakeholders to support student learning and course relevance.
  • Develop effective assessment tasks and rubrics at unit and course level. Provide clear assessment criteria and timely feedback to learners to demonstrate learning outcomes. Lead moderation of assessment tasks at course level and adapt practices to improve learning outcomes.
  • Provide academic support to students within units and courses and work collaboratively to improve student support services to optimise student outcomes.                                                        

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a registered nurse.
  • PhD in a relevant discipline and/or advanced qualifications and experience in Diabetes education.
  • Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design and research supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues.
