About the role:

The Coordinator, Work Integrated Learning is responsible for the coordination and implementation of work integrated learning (WIL) and graduate employment activities, including career events. The role will coordinate and contribute to the development of initiatives aimed at establishing and maintaining sustainable relationships with host organisations, international and industry partners to provide valuable learning experiences for students.

 

As a Coordinator, Work Integrated Learning you will:

  • Coordinate complex work integrated learning information, draw accurate conclusions and condense complex information and next steps into simple and concise terms that others can understand.
  • Seek feedback from diverse stakeholders to improve WIL processes and overcome obstacles to implement necessary changes.
  • Monitor both national and international WIL trends to ensure innovative responses to emerging challenges.
  • Plan and implement programs that increase student participation in WIL and offer valuable learning experiences.
  • Maintain productive relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful student placements and manage related records in line with university policies.                                                                                                                                                                    

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A degree with relevant experience, or extensive experience in technical or administrative fields, or a combination of both.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including students, business, government, or community sectors.
  • Experience in student advising, career education, or international education.
  • Knowledge of the graduate employment landscape and experience negotiating stakeholder agreements.
  • Experience working within complex organizational structures, policies, and procedures, ideally in higher education.
