As a Placement Officer, you will:

  • Undertake administrative processes related to placements for the school’s practical teaching requirements including managing placement data, agreements and compliance requirements and ensure that all placements are compliant with placement agreements between Deakin University and the placement provider and with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Seek feedback from stakeholders regarding their satisfaction with the support services received, respond to feedback with openness and transparency and seek to identify ways to improve service delivery and offerings.
  • Provide advice to stakeholders on processes and practices that improve the experience for students and stakeholders including putting in place recommendations for improvement. ⋅ Establish and maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement practical, accessible course support solutions based on stakeholder needs.
  • Communicate with confidence using examples and the most appropriate influencing technique for a given situation to increase understanding and support.

                                                                                                                                       

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
