As a Research Contracts Specialist, you will:

  • Prepare a wide range of research-related contracts with other universities, research institutes, industry partners, government and community groups.
  • Coordinate the flow of contracts from initiation to execution, tracking their progress and ensuring contracts progress smoothly through the approval process and timelines are met
  • Act as a main point of contact for contract related enquiries and communication between researchers, Research Contracts Team, Research- Grants, -Tenders and Business Development and Commercialisation teams and other key stakeholders.

                                                                                                                                                                          

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Bachelor or Research degree in a related area and significant experience preparing research or clinical trial contracts; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in commercial principles relating to contracts including risk analysis and project costing within a university or other research organisation
  • Established track record in providing strategic advice on contracts to researchers, including IP management, publication and the distribution of risk and liability
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills and demonstrable performance in a role requiring a high level of attention to detail.
