About the role:
The Coordinator, Research Support coordinates the delivery of the administration of research management within the Faculty of Health. This position provides advice to the Associate Dean Research, Associate Heads of School Research, Institute and SRIC Directors, researchers including graduate researchers and professional staff to support the Faculty’s research program and to achieve operational targets. The Coordinator, Research Support will play an important role in ensuring that administrative resources and processes deliver timely and accurate information, to facilitate the growth of the Faculty’s research program.
As the Coordinator, you will:
- Plan, manage and drive projects to optimise research support services and deliver sustainable outcomes within time, cost, and quality constraints, fostering collaboration, ethical alliances, and shared goals across the university.
- Coordinate a range of operational functions to support the Faculty’s research program including development of online faculty research communications, management of internal researcher development funding scheme processes, secretarial support services for school research committees. Provide logistical support for research faculty events and finance processes as required.
- Be a key contact point for researchers and key staff in the Faculty to provide guidance on research support services throughout the Faculty, Research and Innovation Portfolio and broader university.
- Maintain a customer-focused approach by regularly consulting with staff, students, and stakeholders to clarify information needs and success criteria, ensuring high standards of service.
- Provide ethical advice that addresses core issues, offering practical and accessible solutions while promoting innovative and inclusive practices to modernise work methods.
- Prioritise critical tasks, identify and address barriers to success, evaluate progress, and apply insights from projects to continuously improve processes in alignment with the university’s strategic goals.
- Build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, demonstrate commitment to learning and integrity, and ensure decisions reflect the university’s values.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
- Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields
- A degree with at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience; or
- Extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
