  • Part Time 0.6FTE and fixed term 10/3/25 – 5/10/2025  

  • HEW 8 $109,837 - $125,755  + 17% Superannuation (pro rata, part time) 

The primary purpose of the Campus Nurse is to develop and provide on Campus Health Services in accordance with the University and Medical Centre Policies. Joining a team of experienced nurses, the successful incumbent will delivering high quality health services to staff and students. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated background of providing primary health care including triaging, treatment, advice, referrals, and vaccinations. 

 As a Campus Nurse you will: 

  • Provision of primary health care in accordance with the Nurse and Midwifery board guidelines, including triage, treatment, advice, health related counselling, screening and referral. 

  • Provision of course related and travel vaccinations as well as other vaccinations in accordance with the National Immunisation Program (NIP). 

  • Coordinating and assisting visiting sessional medical practitioners to provide co-ordinated care. 

  • Applying Medical Centre/Student Services data management systems to ensure the maintenance of confidential health records, statistics and reports according to legal, medical, ethical standards and alignment with university policy. 

  • Proactively establishing and retaining professional networks which enable the efficient day-to-day management of the Medical Centre, including liaising with pathology providers and other external agencies vital to the Medical Centre. 

  • Using understanding of patients’ needs to structure, develop, implement, and evaluate health education workshops and materials, which address their information needs or concerns. 

                                                                                                                                       

To be successful, you’ll have:  

  • Current Division 1 registration with Victorian Nursing Council 

  • Accredited Nurse Immuniser  

  • Experience in a community or tertiary education setting 

  • Excellent triage and clinical assessment/treatment skills including emergency first aid, procedures, and drug administration.
