Who are we?

The Faculty of Science Engineering & Built Environment is dedicated to being at the forefront of teaching, learning, creativity, social development, and ground-breaking research and discovery. We work closely with industry partners and government bodies to translate discoveries into real-word impact. This role will specifically be working within the School of Life and Environmental Sciences.

As a Lecturer in Forensic Science, you will:

  • Lead teaching teams for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs to enhance student learning and outcomes.
  • Design, conduct, and lead high-quality research and creative activities, generating impactful outputs in forensic science.
  • Collaborate to develop innovative research outcomes.
  • Play a key role in delivering units for the Bachelor of Forensic Science and Bachelor of Forensic Science (Honours).
  • Assist with teaching in other Science courses within the School, as required.
  • Develop a strong research program in the field of forensic science.
  • Ideal for candidates with a strong track record in scholarly teaching and research, and a passion for advancing real-world impact through research and researcher development.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience
  • Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design
  • Emerging reputation in research and scholarship through publications and/or exhibitions and/or success in obtaining external research funding.
  • Ability to contribute to communities through research.
  • Capacity to contribute to leadership of research and administration.
