The Senior Consultant, Leadership and Organisational Development (L&OD) partners directly with university leaders and team members to grow inspiring leaders, capable people and engaged teams across Deakin’s workforce.  

Working with a team of professional leadership and organisational development practitioners, the Senior Consultant supports the achievement of Deakin’s strategic goals through the facilitation of sustainably designed and innovative workforce, engagement, leadership and capability programs and solutions. 

As a Senior Consultant you will: 

  • Lead the design and delivery of exciting and transformative leadership programs for diverse cohorts. 
  • Conduct top-notch workshops to boost leadership and group skills, align strategies, that foster our vibrant culture 
  • Elevate participant experiences through evidence-based evaluations, ensuring continuous enhancement. 
  • Deliver cutting-edge leadership content based on leading research, enriching adult learning and leadership development practices. 
  • Play a valuable role in our growing team, where diversity in thought and big ideas are celebrated 

 

To be successful, you’ll have:  

  • Postgraduate qualifications, extensive relevant experience, management expertise, or equivalent combination 
  • Proven expertise, experience and success in the facilitation of high impact leadership, team and organisational development programs, projects and initiatives that drive organisational-wide impact and improvement. 
  • An ability to deliver the end-to-end solution design process, from stakeholder engagement and analysis, to bringing models and theories to life through engaging development activities, to adding the finer detail to high quality program materials.
  • Knowledge of contemporary HR and OD concepts and strategies and the capacity to adapt and implement these for the benefit of an organisation. 
  • Demonstrated high level influencing, advocacy, and facilitation skills, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.
