In this role, you'll promote Deakin's courses to prospective students and their key influencers, representing the university at events and providing accurate information about our programs and application processes. You'll support the coordination and execution of engagement strategies and activities, including presentations, campus tours, and expos. Building strong relationships with secondary school career advisors and internal stakeholders will be essential for understanding needs and delivering effective services.

As a Senior Officer, Future Student Engagement, you will:

  • Develop and implement practical solutions: create and apply effective solutions tailored to stakeholder needs.
  • Plan and prioritize work effectively: Strategically organise tasks and critical activities, addressing potential barriers to success. Continuously assess progress and adjust plans as needed to stay on track.
  • Seek and act on client feedback: Regularly gather feedback on client satisfaction and perspective. Respond openly and transparently, using insights to improve service and address any issues.
  • Provide ethical and insightful advice: Offer guidance that addresses core issues and adds value. Ensure advice is ethical, promotes positive outcomes, and aligns with client needs.
  • Demonstrate commitment and integrity: Show high levels of dedication and energy in all professional activities. Uphold personal integrity and make decisions that reflect university values and standards.

                                                                                                                                                                                      

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Degree or equivalent experience: A relevant degree with subsequent experience, or extensive specialist knowledge in technical or administrative fields.
  • Relevant education and experience: An equivalent combination of experience and/or training in marketing, communications, or PR.
  • Field-specific expertise: Proven experience in marketing, student recruitment, communications, account management, events, or related areas.
  • Project management skills: Demonstrated ability to manage projects or programs to meet key objectives effectively.
  • Communication and technical skills: Superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with experience in CRM systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and spreadsheets.

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Regular work outside business hours is required (e.g., the work pattern includes hours outside business hours)
  • Regular travel will be required describe further (e.g., interstate or overseas travel is required or regular travel within Victoria, not including between campuses)
  • Drivers Licence
  • Working with Children Check (refer to Recruitment Procedure)
