  • Level B $108,804 - $128,689 + 17% Superannuation (pro rata, part time)

The Faculty of Health is dedicated to being at the forefront of teaching, learning, creating and fostering cutting-edge research and discovery. The School of Health and Social Development places high emphasis on education and research that makes a difference and is solution-led. We work closely with industry partners and the government to put findings into practice.

About the role

As an EFA, your expertise will be called upon to integrate these new roles into existing processes and opportunities, including promotion, capability development and leadership. You will work alongside a team of esteemed academic leaders who bring with them expert knowledge and experience, supporting our commitment to advancing educational excellence.

The EFA will lead unit teaching teams in UG and/or PG programs to improve the student learning experience and outcomes. The position will initiate, design and conduct productive, high-quality, scholarship and creative activities to enhance student experience and teaching learning outcomes in disciplines of health promotion, public health, and/or health and society.

This role is education-focused and will contribute to teaching and learning in the health sciences, health promotion and/or public health programs. 

This position is suited to a person with an excellent record and passion for scholarly learning and teaching and a keen interest in exploring and building on new areas of education development and contribution to community engagement with the health sector through teaching and employability.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • PhD with research relevant to the position and/or other relevant qualifications with relevant professional experience.
  • Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs.
  • Demonstrated commitment for teaching and learning.
  • Ability to deliver effective teaching practices to improve student success and engagement.
  • Capacity to contribute to innovative curriculum design.
  • Capacity to contribute to research and scholarship in a health-related discipline through publications and/or external research grants.
  • Ability to contribute to communities through teaching and/or research.
  • Capacity to contribute to leadership of teaching programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues.
