As a Project Officer, you will:

  • Develop and provide the necessary documentation to support the management and coordination of gender-based violence primary prevention programs including development of reports, presentation and communications.
  • Provide high-level administrative and business support to the Incident Prevention and Education team as required.
  • Regularly review legislation, standards and policy (including International Branch Campuses) to ensure Deakin is maintaining compliance with relevant authorities, legislative frameworks and best practice.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on induction and compliance training for all staff and students.
  • Plan and prioritise work and recognise barriers to achieving outcomes, finding effective ways to deal with them and evaluate progress.
  • Develop and implement practical, accessible solutions based on the Inclusion team or stakeholder needs.
  • Communicate with confidence using examples to increase understanding and support.

 To be successful, you’ll have:

A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or

  • Extensive, relevant experience and specialist knowledge in project support or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience of working in a complex organisation with multiple policies, procedures and operating practices with the ability to interpret these policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the principals of primary prevention or positive duty.
