About the role

The Coordinator, Postproduction and Workflows is a key technical and operational role supporting the delivery of high-quality teaching, learning, and research outcomes. This position provides expert technical coordination across creative disciplines primarily within Film, Television and Animation ensuring that students and academic staff receive reliable support throughout the production and postproduction lifecycle. The role oversees the deployment and maintenance of software, post-production systems, and LED Volume Virtual Production technologies whilst managing the logistics and asset tracking required for project execution.

As a Coordinator, Post Productions and Workflows, you will:

  • Ensure effective delivery off all post-production elements and assessment within the suite of Film, Television and Animation (FTVA) courses.
  • Oversee software and equipment provision. This includes planning, budgeting and purchasing, liaising with Industry and vendors and working with Desktop IT and Software Lifecycle management to renew licensing and provision to Labs.
  • Supervise and deliver postproduction workspace server administration (EditShare), related instruction and technical support for Students and Staff.
  • Ensure student DCP’s are of correct quality and standard for screening in commercial venues.
  • Provide technical direction for projects in the Virtual Production Studio. This includes production and planning, production supervision, and the design, assembly and maintenance of specialist equipment (LED Volumes, Render Nodes etc).                                                                                                   

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience in high-level post-production workflows, deliverables, hardware and software for Film and Television.
  • Knowledge of Avid, Davinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Editshare and Unreal Engine as well as ARRI, RED and Blackmagic camera systems and workflows.
