The role:
The Consultant, Master Data is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of master data management strategies to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across the organisation. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to define and document data requirements, managing data quality and governance processes, and contributing to the overall enhancement of master data practices. The Consultant, Master-Data plays a key role in managing critical data domains, integrating activities within the function, and influencing improvements in data management practices.
This role is focused on enhancing the customer experience through a customer-centric approach by integrating data from physical and digital infrastructure, projects, and services to deliver seamless, impactful solutions tailored to customer needs. The role ensures that improvements align with the division's and university's strategic goals, balancing innovation with long-term objectives.
As a consultant, you will:
- Assist in the development and implementation of master data management strategies to ensure data accuracy and consistency across the organisation.
- Work with stakeholders to gather and document master data requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs and objectives.
- Support the management of master data governance processes, including data quality, data integration, and data stewardship.
- Monitor and analyse master data to identify and address issues, discrepancies, or opportunities for improvement.
- Provide guidance on best practices for master data management, including data standards and definitions.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- Experience in master data management, data governance, or a related field, with a solid understanding of data management principles and practices.
- Proven ability to support the development and implementation of data management strategies and processes.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess data quality and address data issues.
- Working with Children’s Check (Employee) or willing to obtain
