About the role:

As the Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for determining business needs and designing effective solutions within an IT Delivery framework. You will work collaboratively to drive and deliver business analysis activities across a variety of projects and initiatives.

As the Senior Business Analyst, you will:

  • Lead with values, ethics and emotional intelligence to grow team resilience, inclusion and performance and sets clear standards of expected behaviour. Recognise and reward performance and behaviours that contribute to the delivery of results and high-quality outcomes that meet the needs of a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Promote teamwork and provide tailored coaching to enable individuals to deliver high quality solutions and the achievement of goals.
  • Evaluate and baseline current state processes and performance to seek trends and analyse issues from diverse perspectives.
  • Plan and oversee business cases and discoveries which define potential benefits and options for achieving these benefits through development of new or changed processes, and associated business risks.
  • Engage in process improvement activities and adopt new ideas that increase value and efficiency of functions and services and actively encourage and coach others to question traditional assumptions, promote ideas and review practices and policies.


To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training (Business Analysis).
  • Experience drafting reports, briefings and other documents.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and gathering, documenting and managing user requirements.
  • Experience leading business analysis work on Agile IT projects.
  • Knowledge of systems, process and business improvement capabilities. Knowledge of enterprise platforms (Salesforce, ServiceNow) and/or an understanding of university business practices is desirable.
