Reporting to the Director, Finance Business Partnering the Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial control, compliance and underlying financial setup of operations. This role involves financial planning, budgeting, risk management, and financial reporting.

As a Senior Finance Manager you will:

  • Lead the financial reporting process, taking full accountability for maintaining and enhancing the financial health of the IBCs
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process and coordinate with various stakeholders to reforecast revenues and expenses.
  • Undertake financial modelling and assist with business case development and implementation
  • Establish and monitor internal controls for financial processes and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
  • In consultation with operations staff, coordinate business reporting requirements.
  • Monitor financial operations issues and work with key stakeholders across University to resolve. This includes ensuring vendor setup, invoice processing, payment remittance, and accounting software record-keeping are functioning as expected.
  • Provide expert advice on financial queries and statement analysis.

 

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Proven expertise in the management of significant human and material resources; in addition to in some areas
  • Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience
  • Broad and deep knowledge of finance, business, and regulatory environment
  • Extensive experience in building trust through advocacy for division or staff function leadership team priorities
  • Strong accounting / finance skills
  • Proficiency with financial systems and standard software applications
  • Global work experience is desirable
